Apex Care Pharmacy is now administering COVID-19 vaccines based on state and local guidelines. Vaccination appointments are only available for online scheduling.
Eligibility:
The State of Florida requires those receiving their first vaccine dose to provide proof of residency and meet certain criteria, including:
- Healthcare personnel with direct patient contact
- Residents and staff of long-term healthcare facilities, and
- Adults aged 40 and older beginning March 29
- Adults aged 18 and older, beginning April 5
Apex Care Pharmacy will not be administering a COVID-19 vaccination to you if you have the following contraindications:
- Current illness
- COVID-19 diagnosis or illness in the last 90 days
- COVID-19 antibody treatment in the last 90 days
- Any vaccination in the last 14 days, including the flu shot
- Prior Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine
- Prior Moderna COVID-19 vaccine
Booster Shots
For booster shots, please look at the eligibility criteria below:
If you have received Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna for your first dose, you are qualified to receive a booster shot if you meet one of the following criteria:
- Adults aged 65 and older
- Adults aged 50-64 suffering from underlying medical conditions
- Adults aged 18 and older receiving long-term care in any setting
- Adults aged 18 living or working in high-risk settings (e.g. healthcare facilities, schools, food factories, etc.)
If you have received Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen for your first dose, you are qualified to receive a booster shot if you meet the following criteria:
- Adults aged 18 and older
